Jakobsen Beach and Guest House

Take a break on Lake Tanganyika

The Campsite

Pitch your tent on the flat lawn terrace above one of the beaches. Only a ten-second walk from the beach, the campsite is sheltered from view by the shrubbery. Here you will find a picnic table under a large thatched roof, and next to it a grill and a water tap. A footpath leads to the toilet and shower (cold water). We'll bring you lanterns for the evening.

The downside? You may be sharing the campsite with other campers. Also, there is no fridge.

Self-catering

It’s best to know beforehand that there is no restaurant here. All our accommodation is equipped for self-catering, so if you bring food from town, you can cook your own. Picnic on the beach? Barbecue on the sunset deck? Coffee and cakes under the mango tree? The choice is yours. (But don’t feed the monkeys. Don’t eat the zebras. Please!)
